At the end of the road in Cedar Grove, you arrive at Roads End.  There you'll find trailheads and Muir Rock, so named because John Muir used to hold talks here.

The river is pretty shallow here, especially at the end of July, and is a great place to spend the day and go swimming and wading, etc.

The river is quite deep, though, at Muir Rock, and many people take advantage and jump here.

It's easy to climb on the rock from the bank.

It's an exciting jump down into the river.
