The girls spent the entire day down at the creek behind our tent. During our stay in Cedar Grove, the temperature was in the low 90's, so it was very warm, and spending the day with their feet in the cold, refreshing water was too tempting to pass up.

Nick spent the majority of the day relaxing at camp and reading magazines.

Having fun.

Nick & I decided to explore a little, and made our way across our creek.  We found three more that we had to cross, as well as tree trunks to climb over.  It was a nice little walk, and a great feeling - just a few feet away and we felt as if we were in the middle of the wilderness.

Back at camp, the girls were busy turning waterlogged pinecones into tiki people.

Nick relaxes at the creek. You can see our tent in the background.

Watching the kids down at the stream from our tent.

This stellar jay followed us around for a little while - hoping for some crumbs, I'm sure.

The girls made some signs for anyone who would dare trespass on Tiki Pinecone People territory.
