Crescent Meadow has a very nice picnic area.  There are also bear boxes to store your food as you explore the area.  Bears here are very active, so you have to take measures so they don't eat the human food.

The meadow was covered in flowers - very beautiful.

Walking on the meadow is forbidden, but there are fallen sequoias that you can use to cross over.

To say these trees are large is an understatement.

This is probably my favorite area of Sequoia. Crescent Meadow is just so beautiful.  As you walk on the trail, you have the meadow on one side, and the forest on the other.

The bracken fern makes everything look so green.

The kids walk on the trail among the trees, and Blue Girl and Orange Girl take a rest near Tharpe's Log.  (Tharpe's Log is a great place to stop and take a break to have a light lunch or snack)

At one end, the kids stand near the Crescent Meadow sign. You can see how the meadow curves in a crescent shape, thus earning its name.
