There are 3 pack stations in Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Forests. In Sequoia, you have one at Wolverton, and in King's Canyon you have one in Grant's Grove, and here at Cedar Grove.  We decided to take the two hour horse ride along the South Fork River.

Since it was relatively early, the kids are having hot Cup o' Noodle for breakfast while we wait for them to get the horses ready for us.

The kids were soon mounted on the horses and ready to go.

And off we went down the trail, with our guide, Vince.

Some of the scenery we saw while riding.  It was so beautiful, and already getting warm at 9:30 in the morning.

Riding along the river was a real treat.

Before we knew it, our two hours were up, and it was time to get off the horses. The mounting blocks made it easy for us non-experts to get on and off of the horses.
